A PRACTICAL OVERVIEW OF
IMPORT/EXPORT COMPLIANCE: NUTS AND BOLTS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE Join us for one of MITA’s most popular events! This day-long workshop offers practical information that you can use as soon as you return to the office. This program is intended for import and export professionals, including those involved in purchasing, shipping, traffic, international sales and senior management. Conveniently broken into three sessions – morning, lunch and afternoon. Attend one session or all! Importing and exporting offer great opportunities for
your company’s growth. But the details are getting
increasingly complex! Two international trade experts will
present a full day program with the information you need to make the
most of your international market right now. The afternoon session will provide a practical overview of exporting. Mary Lynn Murtaugh, President of Global Back Office, LLC, will discuss key export compliance requirements, documentation, recent regulatory changes, issues and fines, and suggest resources and tools. We are excited to have UW-Madison Professor Jeremi Suri as our luncheon speaker! One year after the election of President Obama, Professor Suri will review the administration’s approach to key foreign policy issues, including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, nuclear proliferation, and climate change.
